Chess to change education

"It is about mental discipline , it is logic and it is emotional control . It helps kids to build universal skills. Education system could be more successful if we teach pupils to play chess , suggests Russian chess grandmaster Garry Kasparov . "Chess is a great educational tool... it is fun, when it is taught it boosts attendence", he said at the Discovery Invest Leadership Summit held at Johannesburg. "Chess influences every level of society, wether you do it in slums or in the most prestigious schools". The game boosts confidence, especially in children from underpriviledged families.
